Conflict Resolution Services
Conflict or Dispute Resolution: Online or Face-to-Face

CRC Galway Mediation Service

The CRC’s face-to-face mediation service is based in Galway City Centre. Not only does our Galway conflict resolution centre cater for this location, we also support people from the West of Ireland. This service is for those with a court ordered mediations and self-referred mediations.

Here at Helplink’s CRC, we do all that we can to ensure our services are available to all members of the community. Therefore, all our face-to-face mediation services are donation based.

Types of mediation we provide:

Family Mediation

Our family mediation includes services for couples separating and help with resolving family disputes. From this service, our aim is to reduce stress and increased costs through court.

Housing Mediation

Within our housing mediation we offer our services to a wide range of people including students, social housing tenants and many more.

Community Conflict Mediation

Many issues can arise within a community. Noise and traffic to name a few. Rather than these issues leading to a divide, we at Helplink work with you to come to a natural resolution. We provide our community conflict services to, but not confined to, neighborhood and schools disputes.

Elder Mediation

A mediation service to support people dealing with issues arising for the elderly e.g. nursing home care.

What is mediation?

Mediation is a process carried out by two or more parties and a mediator. A mediator is a trained facilitator who works with all parties in an impartial and confidential manner. A legal battle in court can be very costly. Due to this, our mediation service aims to avoid this route. Rather than a potentially legal binding battle in court, a mediation session brings the parties involved, along with a mediator, to try to come to an agreement on the dispute or conflict. Mediation has many advantages. It saves time, money, and stress in sorting out conflicts or disputes. Furthermore, it avoids going through the courts system.

When parties are content with the outcome of the sessions, they can then get their solicitors to put the agreement on a legal standing if they wish.
